For management, strategy, marketing and independent consultants

An AI for consultants course that ends with a working system

Clients pay for your judgment, but much of the week goes to proposals, desk research, interview notes, status updates and slides. This live practicum teaches you to hand that production work to AI while keeping client data safe and the numbers honest. In two weeks you assemble a system built on your own engagements, not a folder of generic prompts.

Consulting work AI can take a first pass at

Proposals and statements of work

Give AI your discovery call notes, the client's stated problem and your usual approach, and get a structured draft with scope, phases and assumptions. Read the scope carefully: models happily add deliverables you never intended to price.

Desk research and market scans

Get an overview of a market, a set of competitors or an industry topic in half an hour, together with a list of what to verify. AI mixes current and outdated facts and can invent figures, so every number in a client deliverable needs a source you have opened yourself.

Interview and workshop synthesis

Turn anonymized stakeholder interview notes or workshop transcripts into themes, contradictions and open questions, each tied to a source. AI groups quickly; you decide which signal matters and which quote is an outlier.

Storylines and slides

Move from a pile of findings to a storyline with action titles, then to a slide-by-slide outline and first versions of simple charts. The logic is yours to test, because AI can make a weak recommendation read very convincingly.

Client communication

Draft status updates, steering committee summaries, follow-ups after tough meetings and messages that reset expectations on scope. Match the tone to the client's culture and formality, and cut anything that sounds like a template.

What consultants do in each session

  1. 1

    Tools and the core skill

You see which tools handle long documents, analysis and web research better, and pick a setup for your budget, including cases where a client's rules limit what you can use. Then we rewrite a vague "analyze this market" request into a prompt with context, task, constraints and data.

  2. 2

    Writing, correspondence, personal brand

Proposals, cold emails to prospective clients, follow-ups, polite refusals of out-of-scope requests and difficult conversations. We cover tone for different markets and cultures, getting AI to interview you so your expertise ends up on the page, and your profile.

  3. 3

    Documents, data, visuals

The session for research and deliverables: a market or topic scan in half an hour, where AI is reliable with numbers and where it lies confidently, questions on a contract for the other side, and presentations from structure to slides. Plus what never goes into AI: personal data, NDA material and trade secrets.

  4. 4

    Assistants, automation, assembling the system

You build an assistant for one recurring task, such as turning interview notes into a synthesis in your format, and set up a separate project per client. Then a week audit, a map of your system, a way to measure time you get back and a 90-day roadmap.

Worked example: synthesizing stakeholder interviews

You have finished a round of interviews with a client's managers about why a key process keeps missing deadlines. Tomorrow you show first findings to the project sponsor.

You are a management consultant preparing an interim findings memo for a project sponsor.
Context: the engagement is about [problem, e.g. delays in order fulfilment] at a [industry, company size]. Interviewees: [roles, anonymized as A, B, C].
Task: synthesize the interview notes below into findings.
For each finding give a one-sentence action title, which interviewees support it, one short quote, and anyone who contradicts it.
Constraints: use only what is in the notes. Do not add industry benchmarks or causes nobody mentioned.
Mark any finding that rests on a single interview as "weak signal".
Format: 4–6 findings, then open questions for the next round.
Anonymized notes:
[paste notes with names and company details removed]

You get a findings structure with evidence attached to each point, plus the gaps to close in the next interviews. Check that every quote is real and attributed to the right person, and push back on findings that simply restate your own hypothesis. If the titles are bland, paste one strong action title from a past deck and ask for a rewrite.

What you leave with

  • A tool setup and a per-client workspace approach that respects your clients' confidentiality terms.
  • A prompt library for proposals, research scans, synthesis, storylines and status updates, built on your own engagements.
  • A routine for checking figures, sources and quotes before anything reaches a client deliverable.
  • One working assistant for a recurring consulting task, with saved instructions.
  • A map of your AI system, a way to measure time you get back, a 90-day roadmap, and the recordings, workbook and checklist.

Where AI doesn't replace a consultant

Clients pay for judgment, trust and accountability, and AI supplies none of them. It doesn't know the politics inside the client, what was said off the record or which recommendation the organization can realistically carry out. It will produce confident market figures without a source and polished slides around a weak argument. The practicum helps you delegate the production work and put the time into thinking and client relationships.

FAQ

Can I use AI with client materials?

Only within what your contract and the client's policies allow. We cover anonymization, account settings and a clear list of what never goes into AI: personal data, NDA material and trade secrets.

Is AI research good enough for a client deliverable?

As a starting point, yes; as a source, no. You learn where AI is reliable with numbers, where it invents them, and how to verify a figure before it reaches a slide.

I'm an independent consultant. Is this relevant?

Yes. Without an analyst team you write the proposals, do the research, build the slides and handle follow-ups yourself, and those are exactly the tasks the practicum works on.

Does it cover presentations?

Yes, in the third session: from structure and storyline to slides, plus simple graphics for work. The focus is a sound structure, not design tricks.

What if the format doesn't suit me?

Attend the first session, and if it's not a fit, you get a full refund. Cohorts start monthly and are taught in English or Russian.
